What Customers Say About GRID:

In the end, if you are looking for a sweet racing game that will give you serious challenge, get this. Plenty of different tracks all around the world for different scenery, no unrealistic bs, but one thing they left out that I think they should add in the next one, if there is a next one is, customization of cars.

The physics in this game are amazing, and I just love how you can do many different styles of racing as well. If you are looking for a more realistic racing game with more than the standard races, this is for you.

Once I started playing this game I couldn't stop playing it till I finished it, also this game gives you plenty of races before you can completely beat it, plus it doesn't give you the same style of race over and over so you don't get bored trying to do the same damn thing. I was particularly suprised to see that it had a demolition race, I also didn't expect it to have drifting.

I usually get pretty bored with games like forza and other racing games that strive to be realistic, but this game takes the win hands down. I kinda have mixed feelings about that though cause I like how simple it is to get to racing but at the same time I wish I could mod stuff out.

I promise you wont be disappointed.

i doubt you would even finish. this is a Good racing game, the graphics are Beautifully next gen, the tracks look great, the Presentation is on point and the Music fits the theme. my ONLY problem with this game was that when you slide into the dirt.your car SPINS OUT when you try and drive back on the road. if there was a Race on Dirt.your car would Spin out all the way to the finish line. it was Fun to play Online but thats about it. if you miss a turn and you hit dirt.and you stop.and try to drive again.your car will Skidd 1080 degrees for No reason.

and it will take you 10 seconds just to get the car to drive straight again on the road.Overall, this is a Good racer.but gets Very repetitive and Boring like every other point A to B racer out there ie Project Gotham, Forza.and the Skid problem is just Too Much. the cars Look and Feel like real cars and handle with the proper weight of an actual car. also, if you try and BUMP someone from behind.your car will spin out :l if you try and Sideswipe another driver.probably your AND their car will Spin Out uncontrollably. infact, the game looks like its DESIGNED to spin you out on Dirt surface rather youv slid into it or not. i took some time out and actually tried to Drive Straight on the Dirt.and the car would either jerk to the Right or the Left regardless of how fast i was going. i say rent it and see if you like it first.

Need For Speed Carbon is better.Burnout Paradise is better.Burnout Revenge for the Xbox is the GREATEST.havnt played Midnight Club LA or Need For Speed: Undercover.but im willing to bet they dont have this Skidd issue.iLL.

At first you'll dread the 24 hour of Le Mans, i couldnt even finish the whole thing with out totaling my car or ending up in last. for example steering ability.

In the game you are part of a 2 man team, when u get a teammate later, and you try to beat each of the 51 events to race the best team in the game, Ravenwest. As you beat more events u can earn money and buy more cars and better teammates.

Grid is like playing a racing simulator like Forza but with the intensity of a racing game like Need for speed. Also in the game if u treat your car badly it will show, if you hit other cars or walls you can break parts of your car.

CAUTION: THIS GAME IS REALISTIC AND TAKES A LITTLE GETTING USED TO. with that being said the game also has realistic crashes and car bodily damage.

After you get used to the game it isnt so bad. But if you are a person who doesnt get easily frustrated because u arent instantly good at the game then this is the game for you.

You have to pick a "tournament", hope that that it has the tracks you like, and then choose from an often VERY limited car set.The Xbox 360 gives you the ability to install games to the hard drive. Instead of picking a car and track (or vice versa) you have to pick a "tournament". So ends the positive section of this review. The game launched with all sorts of bugs. As soon as you press start, the disc spins back up (which it's not supposed to do) and stays spun for the duration of gameplay.

It took Codemasters so long to fix them that eventually the bulk of the players they had attracted moved on in disgust. The multiplayer is a joke. This game has great graphics, the sound is top notch, and the replays are entertaining. This makes the whole system run much quieter and improves load times. In addition, most multiplayer servers that are still around don't support the pack. In essence, a re-listing of the single player tournaments in the multiplayer lobby.

Codemasters released a title update which breaks it completely. Codemasters has moved on to their next titles, DIRT 2 and FUEL. Everything from freezing and lockups to streaming problems and so forth. They acknowledged the issue several months ago, and have since ignored it, deciding to leave it broken. They released a single, disappointing and overpriced DLC pack of 8 cars. Only certain cars (sometimes only a single car) are available for each tournament, and there's no track preview.

In short - you can't race the tracks you want with the car you want. The 8 cars are not available for use in career mode at all. I'm disappointed in my GRID purchase and I won't be purchasing any more titles from Codemasters.

This game is very enjoyable and fun. Even with the increased difficulty as you progress, the game doesn't lose its appeal. The only two things that hold this game from being perfect is not being able to save the great replays and the AI is a little inconsistent. Online is incredibly fun as well.
